Barefoot has worked with Aranya for the last 12 years, as their ethos jives with ours and uses their dyes, for our natural dyed fabric collection. Our dye and weaving experts attended a conference and workshop run by Aranya in India to understand their process.

Aranya is a Charitable Trust dedicated to the rehabilitation & generation of sustainable livelihoods for the differently-abled children & young adults of the rural plantation community of Munnar, Kerala  

 Aranya uses authentic natural dyes that are freshly prepared from ingredients such as Nilgiri Kozha (eupatorium), tea waste, pinecones and other leaves, petals and roots harvested from the forest floor minutes away from their workshop.
